Simona was the Slovak National Champion in singles and doubles in 14s, 16s and 18s girls division. She continued playing Division 1 tennis at Southeastern Louisiana University on full scholarship where she played # 1 in singles and doubles. She graduated with degree of Exercise Science and then she completed a Master degree in Sports Management at University of New Orleans.

Following college Simona worked as an assistant coach at Tulane and was also teaching players of all levels in Louisiana and later Colorado.

Simona is USPTA Professional 1 certified for over 20 years. She competed in Senior World Championships for USA for several vears and earned a bronze medal in team competition in Turkey and a gold medal in W35s doubles.
